“We expect the interim government to guarantee the safety of Missions and Posts in Bangladesh in accordance with its diplomatic responsibilities,” it emphasized.
The envoy was informed of India’s deep concern regarding the worsening security landscape in Bangladesh.
Indian authorities voiced their disappointment about the inaction of the Bangladesh interim government regarding these events, labeling them as “unfortunate”.
“India firmly dismisses the misleading narrative being propagated by extremist groups concerning certain recent occurrences in Bangladesh,” the MEA mentioned in a statement.
“It is regrettable that the interim government has neither conducted a comprehensive investigation nor provided substantial evidence to India concerning these incidents,” it concluded.
