PVR INOX expands to Ladakh with the nation's tallest cinema location.
PVR INOX Limited has inaugurated the highest cinema site in India, unveiling Leh–Ladakh’s first multiplex at an impressive altitude of 11,500 feet above sea level. This two-screen multiplex is situated at Solar Colony, Saboo, along the Leh–Manali Bypass Road in the majestic Himalayas.

The new establishment signifies PVR INOX’s debut in Ladakh and operates under the Franchise Owned Company Operated (FOCO) model. Both auditoriums are outfitted with 2K projection, Dolby 7.1 Surround Sound, and advanced 3D technology.

The company notes that the multiplex features a tailored audio system created in collaboration with Pulz utilizing German components, ensuring enhanced sound quality at high altitudes.
Additionally, the cinema includes Leh’s first food court, developed in partnership with Devyani International Limited, offering a variety of food and beverage options including KFC, Pizza Hut, Costa Coffee, and Vaango.

Ajay Bijli, Managing Director of PVR INOX Limited, remarked, “Few locations in the world provide a backdrop as remarkable as Ladakh, and introducing world-class cinema at 11,500 feet underscores our dedication to reaching audiences everywhere.”

“Every time we expand into a new area, our aim is to construct a venue that seamlessly integrates with its surroundings while enhancing the community’s entertainment experience,” expressed Sanjeev Kumar Bijli, Executive Director of PVR INOX Limited.

PVR INOX Limited currently manages 1,774 screens across 356 properties in 112 cities across India and Sri Lanka.
