BJP secures presidential positions in four of the five local bodies in Latur.
The Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) secured the president’s position in four out of five local bodies within Latur district, as officials announced results from the municipal councils and nagar panchayats elections conducted over two phases this month on Sunday, December 21.

The BJP achieved victory in Udgir, Ahmedpur, Nilanga, and Renapur local bodies, while its ally, the NCP led by Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, claimed the Ausa seat, officials stated.

In the Udgir municipal council, BJP’s Swati Sachin Hude emerged victorious against Congress nominee Khadri Anjum Fatema Syed Abdullah in the race for the president’s position.
The BJP also triumphed in Ahmedpur, where Swapnil Maharudra Whatte came out on top against NCP’s Abhay Balwant Mirkale. In Nilanga, Pramod Sanjayraj Halgarkar of the BJP won, with Congress candidate Shaikh Hamid Ibrahim finishing in second place.

Additionally, in Renapur, BJP candidate Shobha Shyamrao Akangire secured her win by defeating Congress contender Archana Pradeep Mane, officials reported.

The only exception to the BJP’s success was in Ausa, where Shaikh Parvin Navaboddin of the NCP took the president’s post.
