The London-based British Airways has suspended several flights to Dubai and diverted two aircraft en route to the emirate overnight, as reported by Flightradar24. One flight departed from Heathrow Airport on Saturday night but was rerouted to Zurich after entering Saudi Arabian airspace in the early hours of Sunday, according to the flight-tracking platform. Another jet headed for Dubai returned to Heathrow after reaching as far as Egypt.
The airline also canceled flights to Doha, the capital of Qatar, on Sunday and suspended routes to Bahrain for the remainder of the month due to operational challenges and airspace limitations. British Airways stated that it has modified its flight schedule in response to recent developments to ensure the safety of its passengers and crew.

Singapore Airlines announced on Sunday the cancellation of two flights between Singapore and Dubai, cautioning in an advisory that other flights connecting the Southeast Asian nation with the emirates might also be impacted “as the situation remains fluid.”
Last week, several American and European airlines suspended flights to the United Arab Emirates and Qatar following Israel’s airstrikes on Iran. These actions underscore the escalating concerns in a part of the Middle East that is usually considered stable and insulated from regional upheaval.
US President Donald Trump stated that American bombers targeted Iran’s three primary nuclear facilities on Sunday and threatened further strikes if Tehran does not yield, marking a significant escalation of US involvement in the conflict between the country and Israel despite his long-standing pledge to avoid new wars.

Iran has warned of potential attacks on US bases in the Persian Gulf if Washington intervenes and threatened to shut down the Strait of Hormuz, a crucial oil transit route it shares with the UAE and Oman. Qatar is home to the largest US military base in the region, while Bahrain hosts the US Navy’s Fifth Fleet.
Bahrain announced on Sunday that it is implementing remote work for 70% of all government ministries and departments due to the regional situation.
