According to a report by Reuters, Google Cloud stated, “Our engineers are continuing to mitigate the issue and we have confirmation that the issue is recovered in some locations.” However, the company indicated it could not provide a precise timeline for full resolution.
Google Cloud’s status page verified that several products were experiencing various levels of service disruption. Downdetector, which monitors outages by aggregating status reports from multiple sources, logged over 10,000 incidents for Google Cloud and more than 44,000 for Spotify around 2:46 p.m. ET in the U.S.

Users reported over 4,000 issues each with Google Meet and Google Search, while reports for Discord exceeded 8,000, as noted by Reuters. Downdetector emphasized that its statistics were based on user reports, meaning the actual number of affected users might vary.
Furthermore, disruptions in Amazon Web Services (AWS) added to the extensive service outages. Downdetector recorded over 13,000 reports related to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and more than 6,000 connected to AWS.
This led to numerous platforms experiencing outages or service disruptions, including:
- Spotify
- Discord
- Google Meet
- Character.AI
- Rocket League
- Google Nest
- Snapchat
- Cloudflare
- Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG)
- FuboTV
- Etsy
- HighLevel
- Box
- Google Drive
- Twitch
Downdetector observed a notable increase in outage reports for these services throughout the day.
