Since the start of his career, he has been recognized as an exceptional left-arm leg spinner. One of his notable early achievements was a match-winning performance during the deciding game of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2017 in Dharamshala, where he took five wickets on his debut.
Subsequently, Kuldeep has played for India in various international tournaments, including the ICC Men’s ODI World Cups in 2019 and 2023, along with successful campaigns in the T20 World Cup and Champions Trophy in 2023 and 2024 respectively.
He has excelled in ODIs, claiming 181 wickets in 113 matches with an economy rate of 4.99. Following the retirement of Ravichandran Ashwin, Kuldeep’s prospects in the longest format are projected to improve, having secured a spot in the squad for the upcoming tour of England.
Kuldeep plays for Delhi Capitals (DC) in the Indian Premier League (IPL), having been with the team since 2022, and was retained by the franchise for Rs 13.25 crore ahead of the recently concluded tournament.
