Monsoon Parliament Session to Begin on July 21 and End on August 12
The monsoon session of Parliament in 2025 will take place from July 21 to August 12, as announced by Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju on Wednesday, June 4.

Both Houses of Parliament, the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, will convene after a hiatus of over three months.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, who chairs the Cabinet Committee on Parliamentary Affairs (CCPA), proposed the dates for the monsoon session, Rijiju stated.
Rijiju also mentioned that Operation Sindoor will be a topic of discussion during the session. “Every session is significant, and we will address all matters, including Operation Sindoor,” the Union Minister told News18.

Special parliament session demanded by Opposition

“The government aims to bring everyone on board—we have reached out to the Opposition and are optimistic that all will take a united stance,” he added.

Rijiju’s statement arrives amid calls from Opposition parties for a special Parliament session to discuss Operation Sindoor, which the government has yet to address.

Rijiju clarified that, according to parliamentary rules, all issues can be discussed during the Monsoon session in response to the Opposition’s request, as reported by PTI.

The Budget session of Parliament commenced on January 31 and was adjourned on April 4, marking the conclusion of the first Parliament session of 2025.
