Breast cancer survivors shine on runway at Pink Passion for Fashion Show in Berks Co. | Berks Regional News

READING, Pa. – For the 10th year in a row, breast cancer survivors in Berks County walked the runway on Sunday at the Pink Passion for Fashion Show.

The event was held at the Double Tree Hotel in Reading.

21 models walked the runway showing off unique styles, and 15 of those models were breast cancer survivors.

It’s put on by Breast Cancer Support Services of Berks County, and Executive Director Michele Reinert says the outfits were provided for the models free of charges by several local vendors.

“We partner with a bunch of local stores and clothing boutiques. Everything from thrift stores to Dressed in Love, J. Jill. They provide outfits that the survivors wear and then they’re able to be escorted down the runway, and they rock that look. They get their hair and makeup professionally done. So today is really all about the survivor and making it about them,” said Michele Reinert, Breast Cancer Support Services Executive Director.

All the money raised at Sunday’s event will provide programming, services, and resources for breast cancer survivors.
