According to an official statement, “The Statue of Unity, which features the tallest statue in the world, has gained another remarkable attraction with the successful launch of a 600-passenger cruise on the Narmada river.”
The official release mentioned that commercial operations will begin once all necessary statutory approvals are obtained and safety requirements are met.
The area development agency for the Statue of Unity already manages a 200-passenger cruise, offering views of the towering monument dedicated to Sardar Patel, the beautiful Narmada river, and the surrounding natural scenery, which has received a positive response from visitors.
“To meet the increasing influx of tourists and the rising demand, this new, larger cruise has been launched to greatly enhance the tourism offerings in the area,” the release stated.
Designed beyond just sightseeing, the new cruise serves as a versatile floating venue, suitable for a variety of social, cultural, and corporate events.
“The vessel is crafted to host birthday celebrations, corporate events, product launches, musical performances, cultural shows, private gatherings, and other special celebrations, providing guests with a unique experience amidst the stunning backdrop of the Narmada River,” the release added.
The cruise is equipped with ornate architectural lighting, offering a captivating visual treat during evening and nighttime operations. With its modern facilities and large capacity, the vessel is anticipated to become one of the key attractions in Ekta Nagar, as stated in the release.
Measuring 30 meters in length, the cruise can accommodate 600 passengers, has dining facilities for 250 individuals, and features a 5×4 meter stage for performances.
According to the release, “The Statue of Unity Area Development and Tourism Governance Authority (SOUADTGA) is committed to deploying world-class tourism infrastructure to solidify Ekta Nagar’s status as one of India’s top tourism destinations.”
The new cruise is expected to enhance visitor experiences further while providing opportunities for destination weddings, corporate events, cultural activities, and private celebrations.
