Although the rain may bring some relief from the heat, high humidity will likely make conditions feel muggy for much of the day, suggesting that breathable attire is preferable to heavy layers.
Sunday appears to follow a similar pattern. The IMD forecasts another cloudy day with light rain or brief showers expected in the afternoon and evening. Maximum temperatures are likely to hover near 34°C, while minimums will be around 28°C. Those driving in or near the city should allow for extra travel time: isolated heavier rain may lead to waterlogging in susceptible areas and slow traffic during peak hours, especially around Minto Bridge, ITO, Ring Road, the Pul Prahladpur underpass, and across parts of Noida, Gurugram, and Ghaziabad where drainage is inadequate.

Most of the weekend should still accommodate outdoor activities with some preparation. Bring along an umbrella or rain jacket, keep an eye on the sky as showers become more likely later in the day, and allow extra time for any driving during the evening rush.
For those planning activities into the following week, be advised that the current weather pattern is expected to persist. The IMD anticipates favorable monsoon conditions over Delhi-NCR in the first half of the week, with forecasts of cloudy skies, light-to-moderate rain, thunderstorms, and isolated gusty winds from Monday (August 3) to Thursday (August 6).
Daytime temperatures are likely to remain in the low-to-mid 30s°C, with nighttime lows in the mid-to-upper 20s°C. While no extended heavy rainfall is expected, sporadic afternoon and evening showers are set to continue as the monsoon stays active.
