August is turning out to be a busy month for the tech sector, with a host of significant smartphone, tablet, and wearable launches on the horizon. Google’s next-generation Pixel 11 series and Pixel Watch 5, along with Vivo’s revival of the S series in India, are among the devices set to be unveiled across both premium and mid-range markets.

Tablet lovers can also anticipate exciting new releases from Asus and Motorola, while Xiaomi plans to enhance its popular Redmi Note lineup. Here’s
a glance at the most anticipated tech launches for August.

Google Pixel 11 series

Google is set to unveil the Pixel 11 series globally on August 12. The lineup is expected to feature the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, and Pixel 11 Pro Fold. This series will introduce upgraded Tensor chipsets, enhanced cameras, a new Pixel Glow LED, and advanced AI-driven capabilities.


Regarding pricing, the upcoming Pixel series is likely to carry a higher price tag than its predecessor due to rising memory costs within the industry.

Google Pixel Watch 5

The Pixel Watch 5 will be launched alongside the Pixel 11 series at the Made by Google event on August 12. This smartwatch will support LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, and ultra-wideband (UWB) connectivity, just like its previous version.

It is anticipated to become the company’s most expensive smartwatch to date, marking the first price increase across the series since the original Pixel Watch was introduced in 2022.

Asus Pad

Asus, the Taiwan-based computer hardware and consumer electronics company, is preparing to launch an Android tablet called the Asus Pad. Initially previewed at Computex 2026, this device will have its India debut on August 6, 2026.

The company claims that the Asus Pad seamlessly integrates “immersive entertainment, productivity, and creativity into a highly portable form factor.”

Post-launch, the tablet will be available for purchase on Flipkart, ASUS eShop, and offline retail outlets, including ASUS and ROG brand stores, Reliance Digital, and others.

Vivo S2

Vivo is gearing up to reintroduce its S series in India with the launch of the Vivo S2. Set to debut on August 6, this device features a 6.59-inch 1.5K OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, boasts a 7,000mAh battery with 80W fast charging, and includes a triple rear camera system that features a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto sensor.

Reports indicate that the Vivo S2 may compete in the mid-range market against brands like OnePlus and Xiaomi.

Moto Pad 70

Motorola is preparing to launch another tablet in the Indian market on August 8. This mid-range device will sport a 12.1-inch display with a 2.5K resolution and 800 nits of brightness in High Brightness Mode (HBM), along with 96 percent coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut.

Redmi Note 17

Xiaomi has confirmed that the Redmi Note 17 mAhster Edition will launch on August 6, with the event livestream starting at 12pm IST. One of the standout features of this device is its impressive battery life, housing a massive 8,000mAh battery.

Additional features include a 6.9-inch AMOLED display, Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 chipset, and a 50-megapixel rear camera. Pricing is expected to start at ₹ 30,000, positioning the Redmi Note 17 as a formidable contender in the mid-range category.
