Previously, Gemini Spark was primarily accessible through Google’s more expensive AI Ultra subscription. Now, thanks to a recent update, users in the US who subscribe to the $20 per month Google AI Pro plan can also access this feature.
In an announcement shared on social media platform X, Google stated, “Gemini Spark is now also starting to roll out to Google AI Pro subscribers in the US, and we will soon be extending it to AI Pro subscribers in additional countries.”

Google claims that Gemini Spark operates around the clock. After assigning it a task, it can keep working even if your phone or laptop is powered down. However, it won’t proceed without your consent. You control when to activate it, and it is designed to seek your approval before undertaking significant actions.
It is capable of completing tasks; for instance, if you link it to Google apps like Gmail, Calendar, Docs, or Keep, it can gather information from these applications, organize it, and accomplish a task on your behalf without requiring you to do each step manually.
If you receive numerous newsletters or follow various topics, Gemini Spark can track them and compile a summary of the most crucial updates. Instead of sifting through dozens of emails, you can quickly grasp the vital highlights.
Moreover, it can assist in trip planning by organizing travel details, tracking expenses, saving receipts in a spreadsheet, and even emailing everyone with the finalized travel itinerary. It can also review old bills and invoices to remind you when household items may require servicing.
Gemini Spark is also capable of browsing multiple websites to gather information, compare products or services, and aid in decision-making. For example, it can evaluate hotel prices, explore flight options, or investigate products before you purchase them. It can even finalize bookings after identifying the best choices.
Google has additionally introduced several new features to Gemini Spark. The AI assistant is now able to edit both private and shared Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides, as well as read comments in spreadsheets and presentations.
Earlier this month, Google expanded the AI assistant’s support to Google AI Ultra subscribers across all regions where Gemini Apps are available, excluding the European Economic Area (EEA), Nigeria, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. The company also added support for all languages available in Gemini Apps.
