The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) announced that the 17 stations — Lok Kalyan Marg, Rajiv Chowk, Patel Chowk, Ramakrishna Ashram Marg, Barakhambha Road, Supreme Court, Seva Teerth, Janpath, Mandi House, Central Secretariat, ITO, Delhi Gate, Indraprastha, Khan Market, Jor Bagh, Shivaji Stadium, and Jhandewalan — will remain closed from 7.30 am until further notice for security reasons.
The interchange service will still be operational at Rajiv Chowk, Mandi House, and Central Secretariat stations, as stated.
These 17 stations had been closed on both Wednesday and Thursday.
The closures have caused difficulties for office workers, students, and other travelers.
On Wednesday, the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) submitted a plea to the apex court, arguing that the shutdown of multiple metro stations had hindered access for lawyers and litigants trying to reach the court.
