United Spirits' Q1 Net Profit Surpasses Expectations, Soars 52% Due to Increased Revenue
United Spirits Ltd, a liquor producer under Diageo’s ownership, announced on Wednesday (July 22) a significant net profit surge of 51.6% year-on-year, reaching ₹391 crore for the first quarter, up from ₹258 crore in the same quarter last year. This figure surpassed the CNBC-TV18 poll forecast of ₹316 crore.

Operational revenue climbed by 6% year-on-year to ₹2,703 crore, compared to ₹2,549 crore a year prior, also exceeding the CNBC-TV18 poll estimate of ₹2,662 crore.

Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) rose by 4.1% year-on-year to ₹432 crore, up from ₹415 crore in the previous year’s quarter. This result was slightly short of the CNBC-TV18 poll estimate of ₹436 crore.

The company’s EBITDA margin held steady year-on-year at 16%, which was slightly below the CNBC-TV18 poll prediction of 16.5%.

United Spirits Ltd’s shares closed at ₹1,404.60, down by ₹13.35, or 0.96%, on the BSE.
