The envoy had a “rich exchange” with notable Chinese scholars, including Prof Shao Yuqun, Dr Xue Lei, and Dr Su Liuqiang, as mentioned in a post by the Consulate on X on Friday.
The meeting included dialogues about New Delhi’s vision during its historic BRICS presidency, alongside shared viewpoints on strengthening India-China bilateral relations, the statement noted.
Additionally, discussions addressed Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi’s recent trip to India, the revival of robust people-to-people exchanges, highlighted by the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra, and the vast potential for expanding cooperation in trade, technology, and tourism, as well as enhancing people-to-people engagements, it added.
“The meeting highlighted the increasing interest and dedication to bolstering academic, educational, and diplomatic discussions,” it stated.

On Saturday, he participated in the Diplomatic Exchange Program at East China Normal University (ECNU), the report noted.
