Eli Lilly introduces Tanstrive, a cancer treatment, in India.
Eli Lilly and Company India announced the introduction of its cancer treatment medication Tanstrive in India on Thursday, June 25.

The launch comes after receiving marketing authorization from the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO) for patients with locally advanced or metastatic solid tumors exhibiting a rearranged during transfection (RET) gene, as stated by the company.

Tanstrive is offered in India in tablet strengths of 40 mg, 80 mg, 120 mg, and 160 mg; to be taken orally twice a day. The price is set at ₹2.15 lakh per box, covering a 14-day treatment regimen with doses administered twice daily, according to the company.

It is designed to specifically target RET alterations and inhibit the abnormal signaling pathways that promote tumor growth.

Being an oral therapy taken twice a day, Tanstrive provides a targeted treatment option for eligible patients whose cancers are driven by RET alterations, as per the company’s statement.
