One UI 9 Beta 4 expected by June-end
Samsung has kept a consistent release pattern for the One UI 9 beta programme thus far. Beta 1 launched on May 13, followed by Beta 2 on May 26, and Beta 3 on June 16. Following this schedule, Beta 4 is projected to launch around June 30 for users participating in the beta programme, as reported by Moneycontrol.
Currently, the One UI 9 beta programme is available for the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra in countries such as India, the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, South Korea, and Poland.
What’s new in Beta 3
The latest beta update primarily concentrated on fixing bugs and enhancing performance. Samsung resolved issues regarding camera zoom functionality, camera preview display, lock-screen widgets, and bugs related to privacy display. The company is also expected to address further issues in this beta build, including a visual regression concerning the Finder icon.
Stable One UI 9 release in July
Sources indicate that Samsung might unveil the stable version of One UI 9 during its upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event, anticipated to occur on July 22. The new Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Flip 8 are also expected to debut with One UI 9 pre-installed.
Additional Samsung devices enter testing phase
Reports suggest that Samsung has initiated internal testing of One UI 9 for additional devices, signaling a wider rollout is in progress.
As per firmware tracker Tarun Vats, Samsung has commenced internal testing of One UI 9 for the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy S24 series, and Galaxy S24 FE, while an internal test build has also been discovered for the Galaxy A56.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy S26 series is currently operating on Beta 3, and the Galaxy S25 lineup is anticipated to be the next to receive the public beta update. This indicates that Samsung is simultaneously evaluating the update across various generations of smartphones.
