CBSE Files Complaint Regarding Cyber Attacks on Post-Result Services Portal
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced on Friday, June 5, that it has filed a formal complaint with the Intelligence Fusion & Strategic Operations (IFSO) Unit of Delhi Police regarding a series of coordinated cyber attacks targeting its Post-Result Services Portal.

Launched on June 2, 2026, the portal provides services such as verification and re-evaluation of answer scripts for Class XII Board Examination candidates. Over the last three days, CBSE reported that it faced numerous cyber attacks, as stated in a press release.

The Board noted that the attacks consisted of large amounts of malicious traffic originating from various IP addresses, both domestic and international. The primary goal appeared to be to destabilize the platform, restrict access for legitimate users, and attempt to extract information without authorization.

CBSE stated it has contacted the IFSO Unit to seek a thorough investigation and appropriate legal measures against those involved. The Board stressed that its systems and databases are secure and intact, with no signs of data breaches or unauthorized access reported.

These attacks were successfully neutralized through ongoing 24×7 monitoring and response strategies, supported by cybersecurity teams from IIT Kanpur, IIT Madras, Digital India Corporation, the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C), CERT-In, and other Central Government organizations.
