An X post on Wednesday from the “Cockroach is Back” account emphasized the group’s commitment to reshaping India’s political narrative, stating, “this effort will be spearheaded by a new generation of leaders.”

Saurav Das appointed chief spokesperson
Investigative journalist Saurav Das has been designated as the Chief Spokesperson of the party. The CJP notes that Das brings significant experience in covering legal, judicial, and social issues through his journalism. They also noted his participation in the anti-pollution demonstrations held at India Gate in November 2025.
“Saurav Das joins the Cockroach Janta Party as an official spokesperson, contributing a rich background from journalism,” the organization stated.
Vijeta Dahiya to represent the organisation
Political researcher, writer, and filmmaker Vijeta Dahiya has been appointed as a spokesperson as well. A graduate of Delhi Technological University (DTU), Dahiya “has provided research support and content for numerous YouTube creators.”
He is the author of books such as Power of Universe and To Hell With That Job, and has directed Haryanvi films like Dararen and Opri Parai.
“Vijeta Dahiya steps into the role of spokesperson armed with an impressive background in political research and strategic analysis,” the party remarked.
Former McKinsey consultant Ashutosh Ranka joins team
The third spokesperson announced is Ashutosh Ranka, who studied at IIT Kanpur and the London School of Economics. Ranka previously worked at global consulting firm McKinsey & Company in London before returning to India, where he has since been involved in various public campaigns in Jaipur focused on environmental, educational, and youth issues.
His involvements include initiatives addressing issues such as ‘Dol Ka Badh, Amaira Suicide case, and the NEET Paper leak.’
Protest planned over examination issues
The announcement of spokesperson appointments is ahead of CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke’s expected arrival in India on June 6. Dipke has revealed plans to lead a peaceful protest in Delhi, calling for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over alleged discrepancies in national examinations.
In a video message posted online, Dipke encouraged students and supporters to attend the demonstration. He intends to arrive in Delhi on June 6 and seek official permission for a protest at Jantar Mantar.
“I have decided that I will arrive in Delhi on Saturday morning, June 6. Please join me at the airport, and we will go together to the Parliament Street police station to request approval for a peaceful protest at Jantar Mantar,” he stated.
From internet joke to youth movement
The Cockroach Janta Party was established in May after Dipke posed a light-hearted question on X, asking, “What if all cockroaches come together?” What started as an internet joke quickly resonated with students and young social media users.
The movement’s satirical tone, coupled with its emphasis on educational and youth-related issues, rapidly gained a substantial online following within weeks. Before its account was suspended in India, the CJP had garnered hundreds of thousands of followers on X.
Subsequently, a new account named ‘Cockroach is Back’ was created.
