The initiative is available to travel and lifestyle creators who have a minimum of 10,000 followers and meet the company’s eligibility criteria. As part of this programme, creators will gain access to travel-related insights and content resources designed to assist them in crafting destination-centric content on platforms like Instagram.
According to MakeMyTrip, the rewards for creators in this programme will be based on the engagement their content generates, rather than their total follower count. The company stated that this model is designed to motivate a more diverse group of creators to take part, including those with smaller, yet highly engaged audiences.
This launch underscores the growing significance of social media in shaping travel choices, as short-form videos and creator-generated material are emerging as essential sources of travel inspiration for consumers.
Meta will back the programme by offering educational resources for creators, which include learning modules, masterclasses, and trend insights. The Collective Artists Network’s creator platform, Galleri5, will act as the execution partner for this initiative.
As part of the launch, MakeMyTrip and Meta recently organized an awareness event that welcomed over 100 travel and lifestyle creators to discuss the programme and exchange best practices for content creation.
The company stated that this initiative aims to bridge the gap between travelers and creator-led recommendations, providing practical travel information while also presenting creators with additional monetization opportunities rooted in audience engagement.
