Kerala Chief Minister Satheesan Takes Charge of Finance and Law Following Governor's Approval of Portfolio Changes
Kerala Chief Minister V D Satheesan has put forth recommendations to Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar regarding the allocation of portfolios for the cabinet ministers who took oath alongside him on May 18, and the governor has approved this, according to Lok Bhavan on Wednesday.

As per Lok Bhavan, Satheesan will oversee 35 departments, which include Finance, Law, General Administration, and Ports, while prominent Congress leader Ramesh Chennithala has been appointed as the Minister for Home, Vigilance, and three additional departments.

P K Kunhalikutty, leader of the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML), will manage Industries and Commerce, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Startups, Mining and Geology, as well as Handlooms and Textiles, as stated.
Sunny Joseph, chief of the Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC), will be responsible for Electricity, Environment, and Parliamentary Affairs, while senior party leader K Muraleedharan will lead seven departments, including Health, Devaswoms, Food Safety, and Medical Education, according to Lok Bhavan.

Additionally, Roji M John will oversee Higher Education, A P Anil Kumar will take charge of Land and Revenue, and N Shamsudheen will serve as the General Education Minister, as reported.

Revolutionary Socialist Party (RSP) MLA Shibu Baby John has been assigned Forests and Wildlife Protection and Skill Development, while Mon Joseph from Kerala Congress (Joseph) will lead the Irrigation, Ground Water, Water Supply and Sanitation, and Housing Departments, the Lok Bhavan further noted.
