Afcons Infrastructure Ltd announced on Monday (May 11) that it has been notified of the client’s decision to select the company as the most suitable bidder, with a proposal to accept its bid for the rehabilitation and construction of a railway line in Croatia.

The project encompasses the reconstruction of the existing track and the creation of a second track along the Dugo Selo–Novska railway line, which includes overhead electrification, signaling, and telecommunication works in the Republic of Croatia.


The contract is worth €677.07 million, excluding taxes, which is approximately ₹7,544 crore. The company highlighted that this project represents its entry into the European market and will be its largest international contract to date. S Paramasivan, Managing Director of Afcons Infrastructure Ltd, added, “The project involves reconstructing the existing track and building a second railway line. Along with civil works, the scope encompasses overhead electrification, signaling, and telecommunication works.”

Shares of Afcons Infrastructure Limited closed at ₹327.40, a decrease of ₹13.35, or 3.92%, on the BSE.
