This win brought LSG to six points from ten matches, and although they remain at the bottom of the table, they are still mathematically in the playoff race. To maintain their hopes, Lucknow needs to win all four of their remaining league matches while relying on favorable outcomes elsewhere.
Captain Pant expressed that the team was eager for a breakthrough win, labeling the performance against RCB as “close to perfect,” with contributions from both batting and bowling units coming together.
“Definitely, it was a good game for us. This win means a lot to the team. We’ve been trying various strategies and aligning ourselves, and it really matters. It’s been a challenging season, but sometimes you must endure the grind. We aimed for a nearly perfect game where batting and bowling synchrony is achieved. There’s been a mix of luck, both good and bad, but I’m genuinely thrilled with this win,” Pant stated during the post-match presentation.
“We have four games left, focusing on one game at a time, one step at a time.” Patidar also commended Marsh for his stellar 56-ball 111 that set the stage for LSG’s score.
“Mitchell Marsh was exceptional, the way he played. He kept us under pressure. I was uncertain about which bowlers to use against Mitchell Marsh right after the powerplay. The way we played showed great intent from all batsmen. Everyone appears confident and in a positive mindset,” he remarked.
