Delhi Heightened Security Due to Potential Terror Threat, Key Areas Under Increased Vigilance
The national capital remains on high alert due to intelligence reports suggesting a potential terror threat. As a result, the Delhi Police along with various security agencies have heightened monitoring in numerous sensitive areas, as sources reported on Saturday.

An insider mentioned that security has been enhanced at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) headquarters located on Deen Dayal Upadhyaya (DDU) Marg, along with surrounding government facilities. This includes the deployment of additional armed personnel, barricades, and intensified vehicle inspections.

Sources indicate that alerts have been issued regarding potential attempts to target key offices and bustling areas in central Delhi through suicide attacks, vehicle-borne improvised explosive devices (IEDs), shootings, and coordinated assaults.
According to sources, anti-sabotage inspections are being conducted at significant government structures, political offices, markets, transport hubs, and other densely populated locations throughout the city.

Bomb disposal units, sniffer dog teams, and quick response squads, including the Delhi Fire Service, have been instructed to stay vigilant.

”Authorities have been ordered to keep a close watch on suspicious activities, unattended items, and vehicles parked in sensitive areas,” the source stated.

Security measures have also been bolstered in neighborhoods and locations deemed susceptible to law-and-order issues; local police are conducting random checks and verification efforts.

The source noted that all district units have been directed to stay alert and maintain solid communication with intelligence agencies and central paramilitary forces.

Senior officials are continuously assessing the situation and reviewing security protocols throughout the city, the source added.
