South Central Railway Suspends Train Services on Vijayawada–Duvvada Route Until May 5: See Complete List
The South Central Railway has declared the cancellation of multiple trains owing to non-interlocking operations for the Rayanapadu yard remodelling in the Vijayawada division. These enhancements are part of Indian Railways’ comprehensive initiative to modernise infrastructure, alleviate congestion, and improve safety and convenience for passengers. The work will take place from April 28 to May 5, with some services impacted from May 1 to May 5.

Significant routes, including train services linking Vijayawada with Secunderabad, Guntur, and Bhadrachalam, are affected. Both passenger and express services that cater to thousands daily are included in the cancellations.

Below is the complete list of the cancelled train services, along with recommendations for travellers to adapt their plans during this disruption.

The Vijayawada-Bhadrachalam Road (67215/16) service and Vijayawada-Dornakal (67768/67) will be cancelled from April 28 to May 5. Long-distance routes such as Visakhapatnam-Mahabubnagar (12861) and Kakinada Port-Lingampalli (12737) will see cancellations between May 1 and May 5.

Other major cancellations include Vijayawada-Secunderabad (12713/14), Guntur-Secunderabad (17201/02), Guntur-Secunderabad (12705/06), Mahabubnagar-Visakhapatnam (12862), Visakhapatnam-Mahabubnagar (12862) and Lingampalli-Kakinada Port (12738) trains from May 2 to May 5.

A few tri-weekly trains are also affected. Kakinada Town-Lingampalli (12775/76) will be cancelled on May 3 and May 4, respectively. Sambalpur-HS Nanded (20809) will not operate on May 1, May 3, and May 4, while HS Nanded-Sambalpur (20810) will be cancelled on May 2, May 4, and May 5. Vishakhapatnam-HS Nanded (20811/12) will not run on May 2 and May 3, respectively.

Trains will be rerouted via Vijayawada – Krishna Canal – Guntur – Pagidipalli / alternative paths. Several stops, including Kazipet, Warangal, Khammam, Mahbubabad, etc., will be skipped.

Passengers are encouraged to check train schedules prior to making travel plans and to explore alternative options to mitigate last-minute inconveniences during this period.
