Bahrain Airport Company, which oversees the operation and management of the airport, has confirmed that flights are being reinstated in phases after the Civil Aviation Affairs department of the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications announced the resumption of airspace.
The airport advises passengers to consult their respective airlines for the most current updates regarding their flights.
In a different advisory issued on the same day, passengers were urged not to come to the airport unless they possess a confirmed flight. Travelers were also encouraged to utilize Bahrain International Airport’s official communication channels for real-time updates.
The airport authorities expressed their gratitude for the understanding and patience of passengers as operations move towards normalcy.
Additionally, the King Fahd Causeway, connecting Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, has reopened after several hours of closure due to potential Iranian threats, as reported by the King Fahd Causeway Authority.
This closure followed a ballistic missile attack from Iran aimed at Saudi Arabia, which may have affected energy infrastructure, although authorities have not detailed the extent of the damage. The causeway serves as the sole road link between Bahrain and the Arabian Peninsula.
