Iraq Lifts Airspace Restrictions and Gears Up to Restart International Flights

The Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority has declared that Iraqi airspace is now reopened to air traffic effective immediately, citing improvements in the situation and a return to normalcy. The authority’s statement noted that this decision enables the resumption of civilian flight operations, including both arrivals and departures.

Additionally, it confirmed that the facility is fully equipped to restart operations, with all necessary systems in place to manage air traffic as flights begin to take off again.

The authority also mentioned that technical and logistical plans are being implemented to restore scheduled services to international destinations. These measures are being coordinated with relevant aviation authorities to ensure a smooth and gradual resumption of operations.
