Viewing | Minor Hotels identifies India as a crucial growth area, aims for 50 hotels in the next decade.

Minor Hotels is set to embark on an ambitious expansion in India, with plans to establish 50 properties over the next ten years. In an interview with CNBC-TV18, William Heinecke, Chairman of Minor Hotels, stated, “The challenge is to reach 50 hotels within 10 years.”

Heinecke recognized that the company has entered the Indian market relatively late, adding, “We have been a late starter in India because we only just started our journey 25 years ago.” With operations in various countries globally, Minor Hotels now views India as a significant opportunity for growth.

The firm has also broadened its portfolio with multiple new brands, underscoring its strategy to capitalize on the flourishing hospitality market in India. Heinecke remarked, “India is a very opportune market for us right now,” indicating strong confidence in the long-term prospects of the Indian hotel industry.
