DSP Asset Managers names Anish Tawakley as Chief Investment Officer.
DSP Asset Managers has named Anish Tawakley as its new Chief Investment Officer (CIO), tasked with overseeing both equity and fixed income investments throughout the firm.

Tawakley previously served as Co-Chief Investment Officer – Equities at ICICI Prudential Asset Management Company. He brings nearly 30 years of expertise in equity research, portfolio management, asset allocation, and team leadership, having successfully navigated various market cycles.

In his new capacity, Tawakley will collaborate closely with DSP’s equity and fixed income teams, aiming to improve coordination across asset classes.
The firm emphasized that this appointment seeks to enhance its overall investment framework and promote a more integrated approach to portfolio construction.

Kalpen Parekh, Managing Director and CEO, commented that the appointment underscores the firm’s commitment to strengthening its investment processes, noting Tawakley’s expertise in managing downside risks while taking a holistic view that encompasses macroeconomic factors, equities, fixed income, and credit.

Tawakley remarked that the firm’s investment philosophy and long-term focus played significant roles in his decision to join, adding that he aims to create diversified portfolios tailored to various market conditions and investor requirements.

This appointment forms part of DSP’s larger initiative to fortify its investment leadership and synchronize strategies across asset classes while maintaining a research-oriented investment approach.
