When is Tilak Varma's next game after undergoing emergency surgery?
Star India batter Tilak Varma is anticipated to make his return on January 28, assuming his recovery continues smoothly after having undergone emergency surgery for testicular torsion on Thursday.

Tilak was swiftly transported to a hospital in Rajkot after suffering acute pain while playing for Hyderabad in the current Vijay Hazare Trophy. Scans indicated testicular torsion, a condition that necessitates prompt medical action, leading to the left-hander undergoing surgery the same day.

Consequently, Tilak will be absent for the first three T20Is of India’s five-match series against New Zealand, which kicks off on January 21 in Nagpur. The third T20I is set for January 25, thus excluding him from the beginning segment of the series.
“Tilak Varma presented with acute testicular pain in Rajkot, where he is part of the Hyderabad team for the Vijay Hazare tournament. He was taken to Gokul Hospital, and following a scan, was diagnosed with testicular torsion (sudden, intense pain), requiring immediate surgery,” a BCCI official shared with PTI. “We sought a second opinion from our specialists, who concurred. Tilak underwent successful surgery and is currently doing well,” the BCCI official added.

If his rehabilitation proceeds as planned, Tilak is expected to be available for the fourth T20I against New Zealand on January 28. However, his injury has also sparked concerns regarding his readiness for the T20 World Cup, starting on February 7.
