Shah emphasized that the Narendra Modi administration will make no exceptions for any terrorist.
“Whoever executed the brutal attack in Pahalgam, we will not let anyone escape. We will pursue every single perpetrator,” he stated at an event to unveil a statue of Upendra Nath Brahma, the leader of Assam’s Bodo community, and to name a road in his honor.
The home minister noted that the Modi government adheres to a zero-tolerance stance against terrorism.
”If anyone believes they can evade consequences by committing such a cowardly act, they are mistaken. This is Narendra Modi’s government. We will not let anyone go unpunished,” he declared.
Shah affirmed that the government’s campaign against terrorism will persist until the threat is entirely eradicated.
”Do not assume you have triumphed by claiming 26 lives. Each of you will face accountability,” he warned.
Attendees at the event included Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, and Chief Executive Member of the Bodoland Territorial Council Promod Boro, among others.
On April 22, twenty-six individuals, primarily tourists, lost their lives, and many were injured when terrorists opened fire in a meadow close to the well-known tourist town of Pahalgam in southern Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
