Vietnam Golden Visa: Indians Can Now Secure Ten-Year Residency—Here's How to Apply
Vietnam has introduced a new 10-year Golden Visa initiative aimed at attracting foreign investors, skilled professionals, and long-term tourists, with a particular focus on burgeoning economies such as India. Unveiled in May 2025, this program guarantees long-term residency, business opportunities, and digital autonomy for Indian applicants seeking a secure base in Southeast Asia.

For Indians, this visa allows for up to ten years of continuous residency, with options for renewal. Entrepreneurs can establish businesses in sectors like IT, textiles, and renewable energy, while remote workers and digital nomads can take advantage of Vietnam’s affordability, robust digital infrastructure, and expanding expat communities.

The program features various visa categories: an Investor Visa, a Talent Visa for professionals, and a Golden Visa for long-term tourists and retirees. Applications are anticipated to be entirely digital—no embassy visits necessary—and will be accessible to families through dependent visas.
Among its key attractions: renewable validity of 5–10 years, access to Vietnam’s educational and healthcare systems, and a potential path to permanent residency for qualified applicants.

Applicants will need to provide a valid passport, financial documentation, professional qualifications or investment information, health insurance, and a clean background check. Upon approval, applicants will receive a long-term visa that can include their spouses and children.

The program is set to launch first in major cities such as Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Da Nang, and Phu Quoc, with further details on eligibility and requirements to be announced soon by Vietnamese authorities.

For Indians considering opportunities, lifestyle, or mobility in Asia, Vietnam’s Golden Visa has emerged as one of the most appealing options available.
