Teenage prodigy Vaibhav Sooryavanshi slammed 52 runs off just 17 balls against the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in their IPL 2026 match against RR in Guwahati on Monday.

With four fours and five sixes, Sooryavanshi was on fire, helping RR take the lead in their chase of 128.

CSK bowled out for 127
RR delivered a solid performance with the ball, as Jofra Archer, Nandre Burger, and Ravindra Jadeja each took two wickets.

Sanju Samson and Ruturaj Gaikwad, opening for CSK, each fell for six runs. Ayush Mhatre, coming in at No. 3, failed to score. Sarfaraz Khan and Kartik Sharma teamed up to add 35 runs, but their partnership was broken by Jadeja and Brijesh Sharma in quick succession.

Jadeja, a key player for CSK before being traded for Samson, also claimed the pivotal wicket of Shivam Dube, while Jamie Overton contributed a solid innings down the order. Overton used 36 balls to reach 43, hitting a couple of fours and sixes.

Sandeep Sharma, Brijesh, and Ravi Bishnoi each took a wicket as well.
