Tech Releases for January 2026: Redmi Note 15 5G, Motorola Signature, and Poco M8

January 2026 is set to be an active period for consumer technology in India. Numerous brands are preparing launches within a tight timeframe—primarily during the first ten days of the month. The lineup is predominantly comprised of smartphones, with one tablet making an appearance.

This time, the spotlight is on practical improvements rather than drastic redesigns. Innovations include enhanced camera resolution, new mid-range Qualcomm processors, slightly slimmer designs, and faster charging options. Here’s what’s on the agenda so far.

Realme 16 Pro series – January 6

Realme is anticipated to introduce two models: the Realme 16 Pro 5G and Realme 16 Pro+ 5G.

The standout feature is a 200-megapixel camera system, dubbed “LumaColor” tuned, focusing on high-resolution still photography rather than low-light conditions or video capabilities.

Both models are expected to utilize the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, with the display boasting a screen-to-body ratio near 94%. Pricing remains unconfirmed, but market predictions suggest it will be under 43,999.

Redmi Note 15 5G and Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G – January 6

The Redmi Note 15 5G is anticipated to feature a 108-megapixel primary camera, support for 4K video recording, and a curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Reports indicate a battery capacity of 5,520mAh with 45W fast charging, powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset. Pricing is still a mystery, although the previous model launched at 17,999.

In tandem, Xiaomi will unveil the Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G, expected to come with a QHD+ display, Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos support, the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset, and a robust 12,000mAh battery.

Motorola Signature – January 7

Motorola plans to introduce a premium device named the Signature, which will sit above the Edge series. Leaked information indicates a fabric-textured rear panel, a flat display, and possibly a hardware button dedicated to camera or AI shortcuts. Pricing is rumored to be around or above 50,000.

Poco M8 – January 8

Poco will continue with the Poco M8 launch on January 8. Details are scarce, but teasers hint at a sleek design, approximately 7.35mm thick. Hardware specifications have yet to be confirmed.
