A sailing ship from the Mexican Navy crashed into the Brooklyn Bridge, injuring 19 people on May 17, authorities said.
New York City Mayor Eric Adams said the ship may have suffered a mechanical failure. Videos online show the ship’s tall masts striking the bridge and sailors hanging from the broken masts.
The Brooklyn Bridge, an American landmark, was completed in 1883.
People took to social media to react to the shocking incident, including people who witnessed it.
Seeing the ship hit the Brooklyn bridge is unbelievable. Truth is definitely stranger than fiction. Sometimes. But this should never have happened.

Did I just dream this or did the Mexican Navy just try to steal the Brooklyn Bridge?
