Siliguri TMC Candidate Goutam Deb Reports Assets Exceeding ₹4.52 Crore; No Criminal Record, Income from Legal Consultancy, Pension, and Rental Properties

Trinamool Congress nominee for the Siliguri assembly seat, Goutam Deb, disclosed his movable and immovable assets totaling over ₹4.52 crore, asserting that he has no ongoing criminal cases against him.

The mayor of Siliguri, in his affidavit submitted with his nomination to the Election Commission, indicated that he possesses movable assets valued at ₹1.58 crore and immovable assets, which include a three-storey building currently appraised at ₹4 crore.

The TMC leader affirmed that he has no pending criminal cases and has never been convicted in any criminal proceedings.
According to his income tax returns, Deb’s annual income for the financial year 2024-25 was ₹18.02 lakh, while for the fiscal year 2023-24, it was ₹15.32 lakh.

He reported having ₹1.03 lakh in cash, while his spouse holds ₹30,000.

Deb has been selected as a candidate by the TMC from Siliguri for this assembly election, following his loss in the Dabgram-Fulbari constituency in 2021.

With a Bachelor of Law (LLB) degree, Deb mentioned his income sources include legal consultancy, pension as a former MLA, rental income, and bank interest.
