Samsung Galaxy Watch8 Classic Surfaces on eBay: Features Ultra Design, 64GB Storage, and a Comeback of the Rotating Bezel
Recent leaks indicate that Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Watch8 Classic will feature a hybrid circular-square “squircle” design, previously showcased on the Galaxy Watch Ultra in 2024.

This confirmation comes from a prototype that appeared on eBay, providing a sneak peek of the smartwatch ahead of its anticipated launch next month.

Carrying the model number SM-L505U, the 46mm Watch8 Classic version is rumored to include LTE connectivity and 64GB of internal storage. It’s labeled “OZXT” (possibly “0ZXT”) and is packaged with a leather strap as well as a magnetic charging adapter featuring a USB-C connector, as noted in the eBay listing.

The Classic variant will reintroduce a beloved feature — the rotating bezel, which was last featured in the 2023 Watch6 Classic. A new crown button will be included in this year’s design, though it is not expected to rotate, consistent with the Watch Ultra’s layout. A noticeable speaker grille appears on the watch’s left side, reminiscent of the Ultra’s design.

The Galaxy Watch8 series is believed to comprise both the standard Watch8 and the Watch8 Classic, likely powered by the same Exynos W1000 chip found in the previous generation, but with larger batteries for improved longevity.

According to a report by WinFuture, Samsung plans to offer the Watch8 series in two designs and four color options:

  • Galaxy Watch8: Graphite and Silver
  • Watch8 Classic: Black and White

The base Watch8 will be available in 40mm and 44mm sizes, while the Classic model will solely be offered in the 46mm variant. Both variations will showcase a refined design that merges a circular display with a squircle casing — a shape that bridges the gap between round and square.

Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Watch8 series at its Galaxy Unpacked event in early to mid-July, where it will also introduce its latest foldables and the One UI 8 platform.

The South Korean tech giant has been hinting at a new, slimmer, and lighter foldable device, potentially the Galaxy Z Fold7 or possibly the Galaxy Z Fold7 Ultra.

“Samsung engineers and designers are continuously enhancing each generation of the Galaxy Z series to be thinner, lighter, and more durable than its predecessor. This time, that commitment reaches a significant milestone. The newest Galaxy Z series is the thinnest, lightest, and most advanced foldable to date — meticulously designed to last,” the company stated in a release on Tuesday.
