At Samsung’s First Look event in Las Vegas, Roh stated that the company aims to provide a “seamless unified AI experience.”
“We will integrate AI throughout every category, product, and service to deliver a cohesive AI experience and remain at the forefront of innovation, making it accessible to more people everywhere,” he explained.
Samsung is pioneering efforts to offer more meaningful day-to-day AI experiences with its global connected ecosystem and by embedding AI across various categories, according to Roh, who was appointed Head of Device eXperience (DX) Division and co-CEO of Samsung Electronics in November last year.
“We ship around 500 million devices annually, encompassing phones, TVs, appliances, wearables, and displays, all featuring seamless multi-device connectivity,” he remarked, asserting, “No company can match what we do.” Nevertheless, he acknowledged that this journey is not one Samsung can undertake alone. The company has partnered with industry leaders to collaboratively innovate and create the best AI experiences while delivering significant user benefits.
“We are also facilitating a robust blend of on-device AI privacy, personalization, real-time processing, and cloud AI for complex tasks. Together, this enhances performance and serves as a solid foundation for seamless multi-device intelligence,” Roh noted.
During its First Look showcase, the South Korean tech giant unveiled its next-generation AI-powered devices and experiences.
Among the announcements was the 130-inch Micro RGB, which presents the most exhaustive and detailed color spectrum seen in Samsung TVs to date.
A micro-sized RGB light source enables this unprecedented picture quality, with each tiny red, green, and blue diode shining independently to produce color in its purest, most natural form. The Micro RGBAI Engine Pro provides precise control of RGB colors, resulting in exceptionally vivid picture quality in every scene.
Samsung also introduced its Odyssey gaming monitor lineup, revealing five new models that challenge the limits of resolution, refresh rate, and immersive visual performance.
Highlighted by Samsung’s first 6K 3D Odyssey G9, the 2026 lineup features world-first display technologies for gamers and creators, including the latest Odyssey G6 and three new Odyssey G8 models.
Additionally, Samsung showcased an AI-enabled refrigerator, upgraded with AI Vision powered by Google Gemini. This enhancement allows AI Vision to overcome previous limitations in recognizing food items and effortlessly tracks what is added to or removed from the refrigerator, simplifying meal planning and food management.
