Rishabh Pant makes history as the first Indian wicketkeeper to achieve a century in both innings of a Test match.
Indian wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant became only the second gloveman in history, after Andy Flower, to hit centuries in both innings of a Test match, following his 118 against England at Headingley in Leeds on Monday. Pant unleashed 15 fours and three sixes, building on his first innings total of 134 runs off 178 balls.

The timeless classic ‘Hey Jude’ by The Beatles played gently in the background as Pant approached his eighth Test century, ultimately reaching the milestone with a single off 130 balls, joining Zimbabwean great Andy Flower as the sole wicketkeepers to accomplish this remarkable feat.

After tempering his natural instincts following a misjudged shot in the first session, Pant took his time and shifted gears after lunch to secure his second century of the match, complementing his impressive 134 from the first innings.
He took an aggressive approach right from the beginning, but after facing a few tense moments, Pant demonstrated outstanding resolve to remain at the crease before unleashing powerful strokes against bowlers who appeared to be out of ideas.

The duo added 195 runs for the fourth wicket before Pant fell to Zak Crawley at long-on off Shoaib Bashir, who had been battered by the explosive keeper-batter.
