Train No. 06085 is set to depart Ernakulam Junction at 9:30 pm on April 10, 17, and 24, reaching Muzaffarpur Junction at 7:30 am on Mondays. For the return leg, Train No. 06086 will leave Muzaffarpur at 9:15 pm on April 13, 20, and 27, arriving back in Ernakulam at 10:45 am on Thursdays.
Key stations
The route has been designed to encompass a vast area, providing more passengers the opportunity to travel during the peak holiday season. Significant stops along this journey include stations such as Aluva, Thrissur, Palakkad, Coimbatore, Tirupur, Erode, Salem, Katpadi, Perambur in Chennai, Gudur, Nellore, Ongole, Vijayawada, and Rajahmundry.
In addition, stations near Visakhapatnam, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Kharagpur, Asansol, Patna, and Hajipur will also be included. This ensures enhanced connectivity across states without relying solely on regular train services.
The
Railways’ initiative comes during a time when trains are typically filled to capacity due to summer holidays. By introducing these weekly specials, the Railways aims to alleviate congestion and provide passengers with more options for planning their travels comfortably.
Changes in train timings
Additionally, travelers passing through Chennai should be aware of a few temporary adjustments. Ongoing modernization work at Egmore railway station, particularly affecting platforms 10 and 11, has resulted in changes to the departure points for certain trains.

The Podhigai Express to Sengottai will operate from Tambaram railway station between April 7 and April 22, with a departure at 8:05 pm. The Charminar Express to Hyderabad will now commence from Chennai Beach railway station starting April 6 at 6:20 pm.
Passengers are encouraged to verify their train information prior to departure. Allowing some extra time can help prevent last-minute complications.
Meanwhile, Railways has stated that these temporary modifications are part of a broader strategy to enhance station amenities and accommodate greater passenger volumes in the future.
