Preakness 2025 live updates: Horses, post time, odds, payouts and more


All eyes will be on Baltimore’s Pimlico Race Course on Saturday for the 150th Preakness Stakes. Although some are disappointed by Sovereignty’s absence after winning the Kentucky Derby, there are still plenty of reasons to tune in.

Kentucky Derby runner-up, Journalism, is the early betting favorite to win. After winning the Grade 1 Santa Anita Derby and two Grade 2 races prior, the Curlin Colt is a 3-2 favorite according to all-sources live wagering. Journalism, 1-for-2 as a favorite, is trained by Michael McCarthy and ridden by Umberto Rispoli.
