PM Narendra Modi's Visit to Bihar: Anticipations for Day Two
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is undertaking a busy two-day visit to Bihar, set for Thursday and Friday. This is his third trip to the election-bound state since February, and the first after India conducted strikes in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir and Pakistan in response to the Pahalgam terror attack.

On Thursday, PM Modi launched the new terminal building of Jayprakash Narayan International Airport, commonly known as Patna Airport. Constructed at a cost of approximately 1,200 crore, this terminal is anticipated to accommodate one crore passengers each year.

He also laid the foundation stone for a new civil enclave at Bihta Airport, which is valued at over 1,410 crore, situated 30 km to the west of Patna.
On Thursday evening, he held a roadshow in Patna, attracting crowds holding tricolors and chanting patriotic slogans. Following this, he participated in a one-hour strategy meeting at the BJP office with senior party leaders.

On May 30, he is set to inaugurate, lay foundation stones, and dedicate various development projects in Karakat worth over 48,520 crore.

The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone for the Nabinagar Super Thermal Power Project, Stage-II (3×800 MW), which will exceed 29,930 crore in cost and is aimed at ensuring energy security for Bihar and eastern India. This initiative is expected to enhance industrial growth, create jobs, and provide affordable electricity to the region.

Additionally, he will lay the foundation stone for several road projects, including the four-lane Patna-Arrah-Sasaram section of NH-119A, the six-lane Varanasi-Ranchi-Kolkata highway (NH-319B), the Ramnagar-Kacchi Dargah stretch (NH-119D), and a new Ganga bridge connecting Buxar and Bharauli.

These initiatives will establish seamless high-speed corridors throughout the state, boosting trade and regional connectivity. Moreover, he will launch the four-lane Patna-Gaya-Dobhi section of NH-22, estimated to be worth around ₹5,520 crore, along with the four-lane elevated highway and grade improvements at Gopalganj Town on NH-27, among other projects.

The Prime Minister will also officially dedicate the 3rd Rail Line between Son Nagar and Mohammad Ganj, valued at over 1330 crore.
