PM Modi 'isn't too pleased with me' due to high tariff payments: Donald Trump
US President Donald Trump stated on Tuesday that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is “not very pleased with me” due to the tariffs that Washington has imposed on Delhi for its imports of Russian oil.

Speaking at the House GOP Member Retreat, Trump noted, “Prime Minister Modi came to see me, ‘Sir, may I see you please’. Yes.”

“I maintain a very positive relationship with him. He’s not overly happy with me because, as you know, they are incurring significant tariffs now since they’re not moving forward with the oil, but they have, in fact, reduced it quite a bit from Russia,” Trump mentioned.
Trump has set a 50 percent tariff on India, which includes a 25 percent tariff specifically on its Russian oil acquisitions. Trump also revealed that India informed him it has been waiting for five years for the Apache helicopters.

“We’re addressing it. We’re addressing it. India has ordered 68 Apaches,” he added.
