As per the sources, the Prime Minister urged MPs to actively communicate the genuine issues faced by ordinary citizens so that reforms can reach “every household” and mitigate daily struggles. He emphasized that the goal is to empower citizens to realize their full potential by removing barriers in their interactions with the government.
Modi also highlighted the necessity to eliminate what he termed the culture of “30-40 page forms” and excessive paperwork. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to providing services at individuals’ doorsteps and minimizing repeated data submissions across various departments. The Prime Minister pointed to the government’s choice to implement self-certification in numerous processes, asserting that it demonstrates trust in citizens—a trust that, he remarked, has remained intact for 10 years without any misuse.
Reiterating that Ease of Life and Ease of Doing Business are paramount for his administration, Modi encouraged legislators to help expedite this reform-driven governance approach.
In a post on X after the meeting, the Prime Minister stated: “Earlier today, I attended a meeting of NDA MPs. We discussed various issues, particularly methods to advance our good governance agenda to realize our dream of a Viksit Bharat.”
After the meeting, Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju mentioned that Prime Minister Modi provided valuable guidelines for lawmakers while speaking to the media. “The Prime Minister stated that laws should not be a burden for anyone but should facilitate the convenience of the people. Regulations must aim to enhance the system and not oppress individuals. There should be no law that unjustly harasses people,” Rijiju explained.
Among those present at the meeting held within the Parliament House complex were Union ministers Rajnath Singh, Amit Shah, and BJP president J P Nadda.
