Prime-time games are where you will find the Washington Commanders in 2025.
In fact, only one NFL team will have more prime-time games than the Commanders this upcoming season.
The Commanders will play in six prime-time games this season. The NFL certainly wanted the NFC East more than any other division, as the Commanders, Eagles, and Cowboys will each play six prime-time games. Only the Kansas City Chiefs will be on prime time more often, as the Chiefs are scheduled for seven prime-time games.
The Commanders ‘ first prime-time game will be Thursday night, Sept. 11, at the Packers. Other prime-time games scheduled are Monday, Oct. 13, at home against the Bears, Monday, Oct. 27, at the Chiefs, Sunday, Nov. 2, at home against the Seahawks, and Sunday, Nov. 30, at home against the Broncos.
Keep in mind that this number of prime-time games is misleading, very misleading. The Commanders are also playing an international game, on Christmas Day, a Saturday game vs. Philadelphia, three games scheduled for 4:25, and two yet to be determined. All of this means the Commanders, who have lived at 1 p.m. ET kickoffs for so many years, only have six games slated to be 1 p.m. kickoffs in 2025.
The Eagles have four playoff rematches on their schedule, as they will face the Packers, Rams, Commanders, and Chiefs. Those four teams are the teams the Eagles defeated during the playoffs and Super Bowl last season. Seeing that they will play the Commanders twice, they will actually have five playoff rematches. The Eagles will also host the Lions on Sunday Night Football on NBC.
