In a regulatory filing, Omaxe stated, “The Harmanpreet Kaur Stand, also referred to as the Pink Stand, will be situated in the North (Pavilion) Lower Bowl and will comprise over 1,500 seats.” This stand is part of a stadium that can accommodate 30,000 spectators.
Omaxe is developing this cricket stadium within its 50-acre integrated project ‘The Omaxe State’ with an investment nearing Rs 2,500 crore.
The stadium is being constructed in collaboration with DDA.
“The Harmanpreet Kaur Stand will feature a dedicated Pink Stand, creating a welcoming environment specifically designed for women and families. Omaxe aims to foster inclusivity in stadiums and motivate more women to participate in live sports,” the company remarked.
This initiative was shaped in consultation with Kaur, who also contributed suggestions to enhance athlete-centric facilities within the stadium, as noted by Omaxe.
