Ladki Bahin Yojana: Maharashtra Minister Aditi Tatkare detailed that the Ladki Bahin Yojana offers ₹1,500 monthly to women who are not part of any other government initiatives. If a woman receives less than ₹1,500 from another scheme, the Ladki Bahin program will cover the difference.
Tatkare addressed media allegations suggesting that 7,74,148 women were experiencing diminished benefits under the Ladki Bahin scheme due to their involvement in other welfare initiatives.
She clarified that the Ladki Bahin Yojana provides ₹1,500 a month specifically to women not enrolled in other government programs. If any woman earns under ₹1,500 from another scheme, the government will supplement the remaining amount through the Ladki Bahin program.
Following this approach, those receiving ₹1,000 monthly through the Namo Shetkari Samman Yojana will also receive an extra ₹500 from the Ladki Bahin Yojana, Tatkare mentioned in a post on X.
Tatkare, who additionally holds the position of Women and Child Development Minister, remarked that she had already addressed this topic during the state legislature’s budget session.
