Mahan Air aircraft struck in US attack before humanitarian mission to India, say Iranian authorities.
An airstrike by the US on Monday at Iran’s Mashhad airport resulted in damage to a Mahan Air aircraft, which Iranian officials allege may hinder a mission to India for humanitarian aid.

According to them, the aircraft was slated to fly to New Delhi this week to retrieve vital medical supplies and humanitarian assistance for the Iranian populace.

US officials have not yet confirmed this assertion.
The Iranian representatives stated that the aircraft sustained damage due to the US strike on Mashhad airport.

Reports indicate that the plane was scheduled to reach New Delhi on April 1.

On March 18, India delivered its first shipment of medical supplies to Iran via the Iranian Red Crescent Society.

The Iranian embassy in New Delhi expressed gratitude to the people of India for their support.

Mahan Air is a privately run Iranian airline providing services to various nations in West Asia, Central Asia, South Asia, Southeast Asia, and East Asia.
