Kejriwal: Mainstream Parties' Communal Politics Are the Source of All Issues.
AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday (May 20) claimed that the communal politics practiced by mainstream political parties over the last 75 years is at the heart of the country’s challenges.

During the launch of AAP’s student wing—the Association of Students for Alternative Politics (ASAP)—Kejriwal stated that parties like the BJP and Congress have historically prioritized Hindu-Muslim issues rather than focusing on fundamental concerns like food, education, and job opportunities.

“Our nation is facing numerous issues. People lack food and access to education. Why is this the case? It is because parties such as the BJP, Congress, and others have been engrossed in politics over the last 75 years,” the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader remarked.
“These parties are only teaching our schoolchildren about Hindu-Muslim… This is the fundamental cause of our nation’s problems,” he continued. The former Delhi chief minister also criticized the BJP-led government for attempting to undo the education system established by AAP during its decade in power.

“In just three months, they (BJP) have begun to undermine the education system in Delhi. The AAP prevented the private school mafia from raising fees during its 10 years in power,” he said. “Now, there are three to four-hour power outages in Delhi, which was unheard of before,” he added.

Regarding the ASAP, Kejriwal mentioned that cultural student groups would be established in colleges nationwide under this initiative.

Former deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia, who also addressed the gathering, stated, “ASAP features two important aspects: alternative politics and its name—ASAP—because we need radical policy reforms ASAP (as soon as possible).” “In other countries, even kindergarten students’ growth is being monitored and analyzed by AI, while in our nation, we are teaching typing to 11th and 12th graders,” he remarked.

He stressed that ASAP goes beyond just student union elections, aiming to promote student development and highlight issues of alternative politics. “Elections only occur in 5% of colleges and universities. We will be focusing on educational reform,” Sisodia affirmed.

AAP leader Avadh Ojha stated, “A country either has natural resources or human resources. For the first time in our nation, our party and our leader, Arvind Kejriwal, are prioritizing the enhancement of human resources through a revolution in education and health.”
