Kamala Harris indicates potential presidential bid for 2028.
Former Vice President Kamala Harris, who was the Democratic Party’s 2024 presidential nominee, announced on Friday that she is contemplating a presidential run again in 2028.

During her appearance at a gathering of the National Action Network, a civil rights group founded by Reverend Al Sharpton, Sharpton directly asked her about her intentions for another run.

”I might, I might. I’m thinking about it, I’m considering it,” Harris replied, eliciting cheers from the audience at the New York City event.
She emphasized that her decision would hinge on who could best serve as president in 2028 “for the American people.”

Harris, who was vice president under President Joe Biden, lost her 2024 bid to President Donald Trump, who captured both the popular vote and the Electoral College. She has previously held roles as a U.S. senator and California’s attorney general, among others. Additionally, Harris made an unsuccessful attempt to secure the Democratic Party’s presidential nomination in 2020.

A 2028 campaign may pose challenges for Harris, as polls indicate that voters are seeking new leadership within the Democratic Party following her loss to Trump.

The National Action Network convention attracted several potential Democratic contenders, including Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro, former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, and Illinois Governor JB Pritzker, among others.
